Movie Podcast Weekly Ep. 081: Draft Day (2014) and Oculus (2014) and Joe (2014) and Enemy (2014)

Episode 081

Hi movie and sports fans! Episode 081 is probably the closest we’ve come (and will ever come) to a sports movie podcast episode. To help us review “Draft Day,” we’ve drafted special guest TJ CREMEANS of the Pour Sports Live Podcast. We also bring you Feature Reviews of “Oculus,” “Joe” and “Enemy.” And we can’t explain why, but this episode features a significant amount of fancy, 50-cent words and dictionary consultation. Oh, and we fight a lot, too … as usual. Join us!

This is Episode 072 of Movie Podcast Weekly. Thanks for joining us. This week your four intrepid hosts review “The Monuments Men,” “The Lego Movie” and “Cold Comes the Night.” Andy and Josh also take the time to weigh in on the loss of Philip Seymour Hoffmann, and Jason acknowledges (belatedly) last year’s loss of film critic legend Stanley Kauffmann of The New Republic. Also in Episode 072, Josh dons brand-new bumper music for his Continuing Education segment and announces our addition to Stitcher. Don’t miss it!

Movie Podcast Weekly Ep. 061: The Hunger Games: Catching Fire (2013) and Delivery Man (2013)

In Episode 061, the Thanksgiving special of Movie Podcast Weekly, your hosts fail to give you any Thanksgiving recommendations at all, but instead, opt for reviewing The Hunger Games: Catching Fire—the  Empire Strikes Back of teenage girl fantasy melodramas—as well as Delivery Man—which turns out to be less a comedy and more a “very special” Vince Vaughn movie. And a warning to our more sensitive listeners, the boys get a little rowdy and the show gets a little PG-13 during Karl and Josh’s mini-reviews, but not enough to mark the episode explicit.
