This monumental episode is dedicated to all the long-suffering listeners of MOVIE PODCAST WEEKLY! Yes, believe it or not, “The Cracker Jack Prize of Movie Podcasts” has somehow reached Episode 400. Jason Pyles, Kombat Karl “The Mad Irishman” Huddleston, Geek Cast Ryan Elliott, and “A Guy Named Andy” reunite to celebrate 14 years of MPW — or, more precisely, 400 episodes recorded, 377 episodes released, and 23 mysterious episodes still sitting “in the can,” as of yet, unreleased…
The Four Horses’ Asses of the Apocalypse reflect upon MPW’s origins, changing host roster, most memorable guests, dubious podcast awards, favorite episodes, dedicated listeners, lost releases, colorful history, and approximately 1,200 Feature Reviews. We also hear congratulatory messages from long-time listeners “Max” and Cody Clark, remember actor Sam Neill, debate whether soccer would be better with wider goals, revisit five legendary occasions when hosts fell asleep and snored on the podcast, and hear about Jason witnessing a historic Pittsburgh Pirates performance at PNC Park.
Naturally, we also bring you Mini Reviews of What We’ve Been Watching Lately, followed by Feature Reviews of Citizen Vigilante (2026), Supergirl (2026), The Invite (2026), Seven Snipers (2026), and Young Washington (2026). The Supergirl review was recorded “in the field” with two special guests: Jason’s son, Davy (aka Spawn of the Dead) and Jason’s former film professor, Dr. Rick Moody — newly dubbed “Grandfather of the Dead”! So, join us as we celebrate the friendships, films, running jokes, listener comments, unpredictable tangents, and affectionate chaos that have kept this ridiculous movie podcast staggering forward for 400 episodes, er, or thereabouts.
