If I had one wish that I could wish this holiday season, it would be that all the children of the world could join hands and sing together in the spirt of harmony and peace. And if I had two wishes this holiday season, the first–of course–would be the stuff about the kids, and the second would be for $30 million dollars a month to be given to Jason Pyles for all of his work on Movie Podcast Weekly. Or at the very least, enough money that Jason wasn’t losing money on the hours of content we provide you with here (as well as on Horror Movie Podcast, The Donut Show, and Movie Stream Cast).
Each week–for the last 63 weeks–we, your loyal Movie Podcast Weekly hosts, have put together a completely-free show for your listening enjoyment. Well, free for you. It costs us the money to see the movies (which, yes, we might spend anyway), it costs us our time to record, edit, and maintain the podcast and website (which we do because we love it), but it costs your most faithful of hosts–Jason Pyles (who has never missed an episode)–an actual lump sum of cold hard cash to put this podcast out each and every week.
The good news is that you can monetarily support the show at NO COST to you!!! That’s right, just start your normal holiday online shopping by clicking-though our Amazon links here at MoviePodcastWeekly.com and we will benefit. Now, we aren’t raking in the dough on this, so please don’t go out of your way to spend more on our account, just do whatever you would normally do this time of year–but do it through us.
We really do appreciate all of the non-financial support that we get from the listeners via iTunes ratings and subscriptions, emails, blog comments, etc … but, taking some of the burden off of Jason’s pocket book (can you believe he still uses one of those? how old-fashioned!) and keeping the show free for you is extremely important to us too. Now, listen. I know that I must come off as the whore of the show, always spear-heading the advertising and the bonus content, and I hate that, but I honestly do it to try and ease the strain on Jason and all he does for our audience. I thank you in advance for your support! And, if he knew I was writing this right now, I’m sure Jason would thank you too.
Hoping you have a Happy Hanukkah! Killer Kwanzaa! and Joyeux Noël!
Merry Christmas!
Josh
