Movie Podcast Weekly Ep. 373: Bugonia (2025), Good Fortune (2025), Eenie Meanie (2025)

Aha! I knew you’d say that! Still, welcome to MOVIE PODCAST WEEKLY. For your information, Mister, this is indeed Episode 373. And your hosts Jason, Karl, Ryan — but not a guy named Andy — will bring you Feature Reviews of Bugonia (2025), Good Fortune (2025), and Eenie Meanie (2025). Yeah, Andy could not make it to this week’s recording due to a migraine. Very sad. Even so, during this episode, you will hear a discussion of the usefulness or utility of cliffhangers in TV series… Are they still necessary? If the show’s good, won’t people still watch it? Then Karl comes out of left field with an amazing and unexpected “My Three Sons” parallel (you won’t see this one coming!). And Jason poses a longing and lamenting question “based on regret,” he says. Oh, and listen to find out which film director Karl thinks should be under surveillance as a precaution because he is likely a danger to others and himself. We don’t really have anything to say about Ryan here. Also, Jason gets indignant at Karl’s suggestion that “Chris Pratt is no Captain Kirk.” Join us! Note: This episode was recorded on November 4, 2025.

  1. If Paramount is gonna do a reboot STAR TREK movie franchise, then they should just use the Enterprise crew from STRANGE NEW WORLDS. We’ve already got a top-notch Kirk and Spock, in (respectively) Paul Wesley and Ethan Peck (grandson of Gregory Peck). They’ve also got an excellent Uhura and Scotty, and even a Christine Chapel. They’d have to dig up Sulu, Chekov, and McCoy, as none of those characters have been brought into STRANGE NEW WORLDS yet, but I’m sure that wouldn’t be an insurmountable obstacle.

  2. Great show guys , I was just able to listen to this episode, its great to have you more often . Did Jason finally watch Bugonia or not ? And if you watch it , can you give your opinion on it ? . Nice hollidays for all of you and waiting for the top ten of the year show
