  1. “…even though it only releases once a month.” –March 2022 episode released 3 months later. We love you all anyway.

  2. My favorite part of this podcast is not the reviews, or the incessant making fun of Jason while he “earnestly tries to review movies.” It’s the interaction between four guys who are doing a great job at being human.

In this episode there was some gorgeous processing by the fellas as they inspected and vocalized their emotions amid the fallout of the Chris Rock / Will Smith Oscars Event. I loved hearing the opinions and deductions of four different personalities. They are honest and humorous and insightful. I truly felt like I was a fly on the wall as they talked about “The Slap”. I loved William talking about the ability of an evolved man to control his emotions and body and to choose the most intelligent way to respond to threat.

Even though I don’t have small kids at home I also always appreciate Andy talking about parenting and how he uses media to speak to and teach his kids. He evaluates family films in the context of social contribution and their effectiveness in forward thinking and ideals. If I did have kids at home, this would be my favorite part of the podcast.

This podcast always gets me thinking and my takeaway from this episode is Jay’s assessment (at 2:05) that “Andy could be joking, or he could be dumb”. A gem of an idea for me to ponder until the next episode, whenever that is.

Also standing by for Jay’s top 10 “naughty appearances” in film. A very exciting prospect!!!

  3. So glad that we saved the review of THE ADAM PROJECT for next time so that Karl can weigh in. Stoked to hear the Irishman’s thoughts about the hot new Netflix movie from February in, let’s see … should be right around March. March of 2024! ( … is what geriatric Chris Rock will say when he’s roasting Jay during the Academy Awards telecast in 2040, after they finally add podcasts as an Oscar category. There will be 1,072 recorded episodes by then, but the most recent one posted to MPW will only be No. 405. Jay will hobble up to the stage to tell Old Chris to keep MPW’s name out his mouth. But right before Old Chris can be felled by a hearty jiu jitsu strike, Jay’s heart will give out for good and he will die onstage a happy man.)
