  1. Thanks for this special gift of a podcast. I drove home from Las Vegas to Orem, Utah shortly after ringing in the New Year, trying to beat the incoming snow. And I was extremely grateful to have this brand new episode to listen to during the long, late solitude.

It’s always so good to have Jay back in the saddle, and will look forward to future special visits from both Jay and now Karl. A big thank you to your families for sharing you guys with us, and wish all you nothing but happiness. Same goes for Andy and William and their families. My guy Geek Cast Ry knows I love him too!

As this podcast continues to transition and change, please know that we appreciate all you do.

To my follow listeners, I hope that we can continue the tradition of MPW. Whether it be on the message boards or social media. I’d love to talk about mini reviews and new releases with anyone in between MPW episode releases. I apologize that I have been late to the Movie Podcast Network party, but I hope to remedy that.

A very Happy 2020 to all. May it be filled with health, cheer, and love of the cinema.

  3. Awwww yeah, MPW BMOTY end of the year lists!!!
Hurray for acronyms, and you guys & your lists. What a treat to have Jay back on the show, and for the return of Karl.
    My episode highlights:
    1) Everyone giving Andy the complete, uninterrupted floor for him to explain his love for the LEGO movies. A favor he never returns for the other hosts.
    2) Jay’s addition of The Irishman to his list. This movie rocks. DeNiro performing hits and beating up grocery owners as an aging gangster was hilarious, in addition to the film being a near masterpiece. (Watch it again: Scorsese is showing you how funny it is that DeNiro is still kicking ass.)
    3) If I have any takeaways from this film year/podcast episode, it’s that I need to see ‘Triple Frontier’. Thanks for the tip!

Truly, I love these end of the year shows, and missed William’s commentary. Look forward do the next episode.

  4. Jay, when said that Triple Frontier was third on your list, I shouted something like “OH BROTHER!” and nearly slid off the road while driving.

But good for you for including a film on your Top 10 List that will appear on no one else’s end of year Top 10 IN THE ENTIRE WORLD. That is seriously quite the accomplishment.

I need a few more days to organize my list, but I will soon share!
