Glad to see you guys back!
Happy, happy 2022. I’m so pleased that you guys are back. You were missed. This news gives me hope that 2022 will surely be different than the last two. Thanks for taking the time to get the gang back together.
OH YEAH! MPW back in the house!!
I haven’t listened to the episode yet, but I’m just here to say that even if this show becomes Movie Podcast Yearly, it will still be my favorite.
Can’t wait to listen.
Peace!
Worth the wait! You guys delivered an excellent, hilarious conversation, as always. I love the raw, unedited cut of MPW, and I too have a hard time answering my texts, just like WRJ. A phone call = immediate conversation. Text messages turn a five-minute conversation into an all-day affair. Who needs it?
Stay excellent, everyone.
Fellas, this episode was AMAZING. This is the only podcast that consistently makes me laugh out loud when I’m watching it. (Mack’s “amuses me when you’re trying to be funny” notwithstanding.) The chemistry between you guys is chef’s kiss. Jay, maybe a *bit* of editing would have helped but maybe the pluses outweigh the minuses? And please don’t be so hard on Andy.
One of these days we’ll hear the unaired episodes, as out-of-date and irrelevant as they might be. Keep up the good work and happy new year!
Roger
That’s a fake name.

And I’m not Andy!
Happy new year.
Good to see the gang back together
Hello to everybody.
Very enjoyable podcast
Best movie podcast.
Greetings from Ireland.
There was a good tune from the Frank and Walters featuring cillian Murphy

Welcome back MPW! I look forward to the day I can dive into more of the “Lost Episodes” and hope we hear more from you in 2022. You guys still got it. I am not sure what “it” is, but you have it.
Still working through the episode, but a few thoughts:
– I am not sure William sold you all enough on CODA. It really is a nice little flick. (It is a teen girl story, so I know Karl will be all over it.) Give it a shot. I meant to wait for my wife to watch it, but it was so nicely done, engaging, and at times pretty darn funny that I just kept going and was really glad I did. A great pic!
– Nice to see Zack Snyder’s Justice League get some love from you Jay. I’ve seen that behemoth FOUR TIMES, and each time it has kept me engaged. I was pretty disappointed with Whedon’s version, and Snyder’s cut really helped provide some satisfying closure for this fan of Snyder’s DC.
– Thanks for the Arcane recommendation. I missed that one, and am looking forward to trying it out today.
So happy you guys are back! This episode was hilarious and had me laughing out loud multiple times. I love the unedited, unrated, uncorked edition of this podcast so save yourself time and just release these episodes in their purest form. Please add this to Spotify too like your other podcasts! Thanks for all your hard work! Some additional comments:
– Coda really is a fantastic movie so I agree with Vance that William undersold it a little. Karl especially would love this movie. It has Ferdia Walsh-Peelo in it from Sing Street.
– Mass is another recommendation that I don’t think a lot of people have seen. There isn’t much to the plot but man is it powerful. The acting is fantastic too.
Just watched the trailer for Mass. Oof. That looks pretty heavy, but i am definitely adding it to my watchlist. Thanks!
Yep…it’s definitely some heavy subject matter! Let me know what you think of it.
Guys! So happy for the full-cast reunion show! I was laughing right out the gate just like always.
Fun fact; I didn’t give One Single Movie 10 stars in 2021. Bummer upon bummer. I guess that makes my favorite movies at 9 stars each, were; 14 Peaks (Netflix) and Dune.
I definitely added some titles to my to-watch list from your recommendations; Cruella and The Harder they Fall. Thanks for a great show!
Good to know that any clown who has listened to a little more than half of the total released MPW episodes can be Listener of the Year. By that standard most of your real fans are already overqualified to be Listener of the Decade. Good for Mick, though. Maybe someday Andy will buy him a Peanut Buster Parfait at Dairy Queen and then tip it over on his lap.
Mick!!! 🙂 🙂 🙂

I’m so happy to have this episode of MPW. You forget how much you miss your podcast friends until you hear from them again.
Like Mack, MPW was also my first podcast.
Like Karl, I spend most every Sunday afternoon at the movies, I’m pretty sure I’ve shared a theater with him one time or another there at Geneva. The Father was my first time back in the theater, and Karl described it perfectly. Anthony Hopkins was incredible.
Like William, I too really enjoyed Ghostbusters: Afterlife. While it had its flaws, the emotion and nostalgia won out in the end, and the behind the scenes details about Jason Reitman just make the experience sweeter.
One of my first thoughts after seeing Belfast was actually a sad one. I was worried we’d never get an episode of MPW again, and miss out on hearing Andy do his Belfast bit. Mission Accomplished on this episode.
Jay, thanks for all the time you have given on MPW, scheduling and hosting and editing (although I thought the listening quality of this episode was not at all diminished by not editing, so feel free to continue with that) and posting of episodes. Truly a gift to us all. A sincere Thank You again.
Ryan… he’s just my guy. Excited for season 9! I owe the GCL crew big time for helping me discover a new realm of geekdom that has changed my pop culture experience the past few years.
Ryan is also a kindred spirit. Between the sports, movies, food and drink, and many other things, it’s like he’s my long lost cousin. I do think he should check out King Richard when it comes back to HBOMax if he hasn’t, as a father and a coach I think he’ll really enjoy it, plus amazing Will Smith… I think Andy would also dig it too.
My 10 in alphabetical order:
Belfast
Black Widow
Dune
The Father
The French Dispatch
The Green Knight
King Richard
Nine Days
Spider-Man: No Way Home
Tick Tick Boom
Honorable Mentions
Being the Ricardos
Free Guy
Ghostbusters: Afterlife
In The Heights
The Last Duel
No Time to Die
Shang Chi
Spencer
The Father is a 2020 movie Jay. Don’t worry about it.
Remember Anthony Hopkins at last year’s Oscars?
