Dear J,
Regarding the top 10 list conundrum – Ryan is right. 2018 movies that you did not get to see this year do not make your list. The movies that fall through the cracks should be on another list made in 2019 (a.k.a. 2018 revision list). You can make corrections to your first end of the year list once you are all caught up with the movies you missed. So I suggest having a revised 2018 list later in 2019. I hope this made some sense.
Hi Márton,
Thanks for your comment. If you’ll indulge me, I took the time to write an entire blog post to address your thoughts! : ) Read it here:

Thank you!
-J
Leave it to J to make something simple really hard.
Leave it to Jay to think about something for hours and still come up with a flawed perspective.
Love you, Jay :*
For the record (and to clear up Jason’s intentionally ambiguous reference on the show), Ryan seemed to agree more with my position regarding year of release than yours, J.
Also, who cares.
Wow. We have a website?
Also, why?
Wow. Andy found the website. This is a true sign of the end times. 🙂 JK.
Greetings from Finland! You have no idea how many times your show has made my day. My sincere thanks to each one of you for the show (even Andy who is actually one funny *beep*).
So…you aren’t going to pay $15 to give me a night off?
I’m sure that the new Robin Hood movie has A LOT of problems (I saw the trailer…) but are we really calling it a “social justice warrior” movie because one of its themes is wealth redistribution? Hasn’t that always been a crucial aspect of the Robin Hood lore?
Thanks guys for clearing up the top 10 list discussion I have removed any movies on my list that were not released in 2018.
I may not agree with your list but that is the fun of discussing it out and debating the picks!
Also WMOTY is perfect Ryan love that!

When Jay said, “Like Jar Jar Binks?” my coconut pineapple Simply Balanced sparkling water, came pouring out of my nose.
I shouldn’t consume beverages while listening to this show.
Disney’s Robin Hood is delightful. On the other hand, how did this entire conversation happen without a single mention of the still-definitive The Adventures of Robin Hood with Errol Flynn? Come on, fellas. The Adventures of Robin Hood is the gold standard. Check out this short clip if you need a reminder:

I personally think Chris Pratt would be a terrible Robin Hood. But Ryan did mention the current actor I’d choose for the part. Tom Hiddleston is so much more than just the “poor man’s British Robert Redford.” Hiddleston played Henry V in the BBC’s The Hollow Crown (Series 1), and you can see glimpses of everything you’d want in a movie Robin Hood, from light comedy to high drama. Also, The Hollow Crown is just pure awesomeness for anyone who digs Shakespeare.
For the record, Karl has done a great job with his MPW prizes! I got my copy of “The Martian” from him!
Thanks for the Blu-Ray and the very detailed and meticulous instructions for BMOTY participation.
